Backlash Builds in the States: Constituents Demand ACA Tax Credit Extension, End of Shutdown

One official week into the shutdown and Republican lawmakers are taking heat back home. Voters are outraged at the GOP trifecta’s choice to shut down the government instead of extending tax credits that help everyday people afford health insurance.

While GOP leadership refuses to negotiate and members have left town, their constituents are showing up — demanding Congress reopen the government and stop healthcare costs from doubling (or more).
