Milwaukee, WI - Fair Share America Executive Director Kristen Crowell released the following statement in response to the Senate Finance Committee’s proposed text for tax portions of the reconciliation bill:

“Senate Republicans’ job was to revise the House version of the bill to prevent widespread harm to the people they represent. Instead, they’ve put forward a bill that reads like a wish list for their nearest and dearest wealthy special interests. It’s a disgrace to give tax handouts to rich private equity investors and sports team owners while putting rural hospitals and the millions who rely on them for critical care at risk. They continue to underscore that they are putting millionaires and billionaires over everyone else.”
