Trump’s “Good List” Flaunts How GOP and Corporations Are Working Together to Make Life Unaffordable for the Rest of Us
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (August 15, 2025) - Fair Share America Executive Director Kristen Crowell today commented on reporting that the Trump White House keeps a “good list” of corporations who worked to support Trump’s tax bill. That bill, now law, represents the largest wealth transfer from regular people to the rich in U.S. history and makes lucrative tax handouts permanent for corporations that already fail to pay their fair share.
“Trump’s tax law was a payoff — written by fake-populist politicians, for the corporations that bankroll them. The ‘good list’ just says the quiet part out loud: praise Trump, play along, and you get rewarded with over $900 billion in corporate tax cuts while the rest of the country loses healthcare, food assistance and jobs,” said Kristen Crowell.
“People aren’t fooled. We’ve heard it repeatedly while traveling to districts during August recess - families are being crushed by rising costs and gutted services, while corporations jack up prices and cash in on massive tax breaks. Now the public knows exactly who’s in on the deal with President Trump and his allies in Congress to make life harder for everyone else.”
